Demonstration Sites

    In 2002 NACCHO invited member public health agencies to compete for federal funding to support community-based environmental health assessment activities using PACE EH. After a careful review of the submissions, NCEH awarded $20,000 each to eight local public health agencies. Beginning in January 2003, these agencies used the 13-task methodology over a 12–24 month period:


    NACCHO compiled The PACE EH Demonstration Site Project: Communities in Action, a report describing the progress and results in each of the eight demonstration sites selected to implement a PACE EH community environmental health assessment process.
