Drug-Resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae Surveillance Manual
This manual was first developed in 2003 to provide general guidance to state and local health department personnel who are involved in surveillance activities for Streptococcus pneumoniae. This manual answers commonly asked questions regarding the surveillance and reporting of S. pneumoniae and provides guidance on enhancing existing surveillance systems.
Several reference documents, tables, internet address links and forms have been included in this manual for your convenience and information. The forms listed in the appendices are public domain and may be copied and distributed for use in public health surveillance activities.
