How To... Review Data Quality
Each time a PNSS transaction file is received by CDC from a contributor the Periodic Summary of Record Volume and Data Quality Report is generated and sent electronically back to the contributor within a few days.
The report file name, located in the upper right
corner of the report, includes the abbreviation for the contributor’s
name, the system (PNSS), and the month or quarter of the calendar year
represented by a majority of the records on the transaction file.
Replacement files are identified with an “R” in the filename. The Date File Received, also located in the upper right corner of the report, is the date that the transaction file from the contributor was received by CDC. |

The Run Date, located in the upper left corner of the report, is the date that the transaction file was edited and the periodic summary report was generated by CDC. The transaction file is edited and the Periodic Summary of Record Volume and Data Quality report is generated within a few days of CDC receipt of the file. |
