The ceremony is attended by each congressional district winner and allows the young artists from around the country to meet with and see each other’s work. Along with the airfares donated by Southwest Airlines, Morales will receive a $500 donation to help her art class purchase supplies, courtesy of Amelia Island Plantation. In addition she will receive a renewable $5,000 per year scholarship courtesy of the Savannah College of Art and Design.
All submitted artwork has been displayed for the last few days at the Nathan H. Wilson Center Gallery on the South Campus of Florida Community College at Jacksonville (FCCJ). This has been a wonderful opportunity for local young artists to have their work displayed in a gallery setting. Congressman Crenshaw’s website will also be hosting all the artwork in a virtual online art gallery.
