The choice of "This Land is your Land" as a 'patriotic'song is a little
funny. I believe the point of the song is it 'our' land and not 'their'
land, with them being the banks, corporations, and the rich. Woody was
also writing as columnist for the Communist Party's newspaper The Daily
Worker, after all.
