“AMAZING FEATS OF AGING” showcases highly interactive exhibits on the biology of aging, with special emphasis on comparative aging, healthy aging and aging of the brain. This exhibition appropriate for K-8 and all ages. Amazing Feats of Aging was created and is toured by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. "Toy Tech" is an interactive traveling exhibition from the Northwest Invention Center. Visitors play with mechanical, optical and acoustic toys as they see inside the toys to understand how they work. Visitors make toys according to instruction provided in the exhibit. Visitors invent new toys and see nostalgic toys. Creativity, skills of problem solving and use of materials and tools are utilized by participants. Find out about the physical principles that determine how toys work. AMSE Lobby.

“AFRICAN AMERICANS IN WORLD WAR II,” a traveling exhibition from the National Atomic Museum, contains 40 framed photographs with label captions and a panel of interpretive text regarding the effort of the black soldier and military personnel. AMSE Lobby

“FROM THE AMSE ARCHIVES” exhibition of Manhattan Project furnishings from the American Museum of Science and Energy collection. The furniture represents a sampling of the thousands of pieces that were built to furnish the 1940’s government housing in Oak Ridge. AMSE Lobby

AMSE ENERGY BOWL for teachers of sixth, seventh and eighth grade teams to sign-up for the single elimination, college bowl concept, oral question & answer format contest. Pre-registration for five-member teams for each grade level required. Registration fee is $20 per team per grade level. Contest dates are March 3 for sixth grade; March 4 for seventh grade and March 5 for eighth grade.

"Secret City Oak Ridge Driving Tour" Discover WWWII’s Secret City with the Oak Ridge Convention and Visitors Bureau official Oak Ridge Driving Tour, now available from AMSE’s Discovery Shop.
This newly revised driving tour, beginning and ending in front of the Oak Ridge Visitors Welcome Center and American Museum of Science & Energy, includes many notable stops such as historic Jackson Square, the International Friendship Bell, University of Tennessee Arboretum, and Oak Ridge Marina.
The Oak Ridge Driving Tour kit is comprised of a colorful map and audio commentary on your choice of cassette or CD.
CD's and cassette can be purchased for $12. If the cassette or CD is returned with receipt, the buyer will receive a $7 refund.
AMSE is open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mon. - Sat.; 1 - 5 p.m. Sun.
Admission Rates:
Adults $5.00; Seniors (65+) $4.00; Children (6-17) $3.00 and children 5 and under free. Group Rates Available for 20 or more.
AMSE MEMBERSHIPS: Family $35, Grandparent $30 and Individual $25 for unlimited museum visits for 12 months from date of purchase, monthly member newsletter, special exhibition previews, discount in the Discovery Shop and on summer camps, and free admission to over 250 museums that participate in the ASTC Passport Program.
