Interagency Hotshot Crews (IHC's) provide an organized, mobile, and skilled hand crew for all phases of wildfire suppression.

Bureau of Land Management Interagency Hotshot Crews are diverse teams of career and temporary federal employees who uphold a tradition of excellence and have solid reputations as multi-skilled professional firefighters. Our physical fitness standards, qualifications, training requirements, and operational procedures are dictated by the Interagency Hotshot Crew Operations Guide which is designed to establish a national standard amongst these select crews. Our core values of “Duty, Integrity, and Respect” have earned Hotshot crews an excellent reputation throughout the United States and Canada as elite teams of professional wildland firefighters.
