On the Cover | The relatively recent escalation of gasoline prices has once again focused the attention of the U.S. public on the need for alternatives to oil, but scientists and a growing number of citizens have been steadily seeking new fuels without waiting for government to act. A92), ethanol and biodiesel go head to head environmentally and economically, with interesting results.
