Site Visits and Workshops
The Kaiser Family Foundation conducts site visits for U.S. and non-U.S. journalists on HIV/AIDS and other international health topics. Site visits have included trips to Brazil, South Africa, Zambia, Canada and numerous locations within the United States. Additionally, the International Health Journalism Fellowship Program organizes workshops outside the U.S. in locations such as Southern Africa, India, the Caribbean, Russia and Ukraine for groups of regional reporters and occasionally U.S. journalists in each country. The workshops focus on a variety of HIV/AIDS reporting issues and topics.
In addition, the Kaiser Media Fellowships Program organizes similar workshops and site visits in the U.S. for U.S. journalists covering HIV/AIDS and other health-related issues.
