The NTSB offers a variety of flexible work schedules that will help you to balance your work life, personal life, and the needs of your family. In addition to the traditional workweek of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, employees can receive approval to work an alternative schedule. Depending on organizational goals and operational requirements, employees may receive approval for a flexible schedule that allows them to work an 8-hour non-traditional tour, or either of two compressed work schedules.

Under the agency’s Telework Program, eligible employees may receive approval to work from home on a full-time or part-time basis depending on the nature of their duties and assigned responsibilities. Full-time teleworkers perform all of their duties out of their home offices, while part-time teleworkers split their duty time between a home office and an agency office at a designated geographic location.
