As an intern in Bart's Washington office, students assist in a wide range of activities, including conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol, assisting staff members with research projects, and responding to constituents' requests. In the district offices, interns assist staff as they resolve individual problems Middle Tennesseans are having with the federal government. They also work on research projects and can help the staff with a variety of other tasks.
