Mission: On behalf of the Inspector General, audit, evaluate, monitor and review the programs, policies, procedures and functions of the Intelligence Community, Special Access Programs and Nuclear Surety Issues within the Department of Defense.

Vision: The Office of the Deputy Inspector General for Intelligence is a center of excellence dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of the DoD intelligence activities through an informed and authoritative oversight program.

Goals: Be a first class intelligence oversight organization. Proactively engage the intelligence community.
