OPM ANNOUNCES HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AVAILABLE UNDER TRAINING & MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM



Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Jim King today announced the expansion of services available to government agencies under OPM's Training and Management Assistance Program (TMA) and the names of the 16 firms receiving multiple contract awards.

The TMA program is a three-way partnership between OPM, other agencies and highly qualified contractors that specialize in human resources solutions. Under the expanded program, agencies can now receive customized and integrated services in training and development, performance management, workforce productivity, business process reengineering, compensation and employee relations.

"As we look at the dynamic of the federal workplace, creating responsive human resource management systems is key in ensuring that federal agencies become performance based and deliver services that work better and cost less. This program gives agencies an invaluable tool to improve management systems," said Jim King.

Over the last 15 years, many federal agencies have used the TMA program to enhance workforce productivity through research, innovation, education, and training. Various performance improvement organizations have recognized the TMA program for its high-quality and excellence, including the International Society for Performance and Instruction.

Director King also noted that seven small businesses received awards. "The TMA contract represents the partnerships that government and small business must continue to forge. With this contract, you get high quality solutions for federal agencies and job creation and growth for small businesses. It is a win-win situation."
