July 8, 1997: The 10th Annual National Conference on Federal Quality convenes at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 9 and is highlighted with the presentation of the Presidential Award for Quality to Fort Benning, Georgia. This is the highest award for quality achievement in federal government. In addition, eight federal organizations will be recognized with Quality Achievement Awards. [News Release]

July 3, 1997: Eight federal activities will receive a Quality Achievement Award for improving customer service and saving tax dollars. The awards will be presented by U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Jim King during the 10th Annual National Conference on Federal Quality. The awards are being presented to:

July 2, 1997: The United States Army Infantry School and Center, Fort Benning, Georgia, is this year's recipient of the prestigious Presidential Award for Quality. Fort Benning will receive the nation's highest award for federal quality achievement during ceremonies in Washington, D.C., on July 10. U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Jim King will present the award to representatives of Fort Benning. [News Release]
