Educational Resources

Whether as teachers, students, or adults a vast array of knowledge about natural resources can be found. In this section you can educate yourself (or others!) about the natural treasures that can be found right outside-in our public lands.

Gubernatorial Proclamations

The National Environmental Education Foundation solicits gubernatorial and mayoral proclamations designating Public Lands Day in their states. Forty-one governors issued proclamations in 2008 and we will again be seeking this recognition of the importance of our public lands in 2009. Site Managers often play a key role in helping secure proclamations

  • Official Gubernatorial Proclamations 2008:
  • Official Mayorial Proclamations 2008:
  • Gubernatorial Proclamation Language, 2008 [MSWord - 430k]
  • Mayoral Proclamation Language 2008 [MSWord-430k]
