PHOTO CONTESTTake pictures of fellow volunteers lending a hand to our public lands to win prizes and have your work put up on the website. Two categories for amateur photographers: 17 years and under and 18 years and older. Learn more about the contest, and view previous winners.
This year the 16th annual National Public Lands Day, which brings together tens of thousands of volunteers to work on and clean up public lands,will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009.
Get Involved:
- Use the map to find a site near you
- Register with the site by calling or emailing the Public Land Manager
Don't Forget:
- Sunglasses
- Wide brimmed hat
- Hiking boots or other sturdy footwear
- Suntan lotion (SPF 15+)
- Work gloves if you have them
- Bottle of water
- AND a camera
