Domestic Outreach Meetings

FDA Updates: "What You Need To Know To Ensure Compliance With the New
FDA Bioterrorism Act Registration and Prior Notice Final Rules"

Goal: To provide an overview of FDA's Registration of Food Facilities Interim Final Rule (68 Fed. Reg. 58894 (October 10, 2003) and Prior Notice of Imported Food Shipments Interim Final Rule (68 Fed. Reg. 58974 (October 10, 2003). FDA will also provide answers to some frequently asked questions regarding the applicability of these rules to various activities. In addition, FDA will provide on-site registration assistance for facilities that are required to register and a computer demonstration of the Prior Notification System Interface.

Target Audience: Domestic owners, operators or agents in charge of domestic food facilities that manufacture, process, pack or hold food under FDA's jurisdiction for human or animal consumption in the United States and persons that import or offered for import food under FDA's jurisdiction into the United States and Small Business Entities.

How to Register: Please submit your registration information for the public meeting (including name, title, firm name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and fax number) at least three (3) workdays before the meeting date. You may register on-line or by fax at (202) 479-6801. Space is limited and registration will be closed at each site when maximum seating capacity for that site is reached (between 100-200 persons per site); thus, you are encouraged to register early.
