The annual conference provides opportunities for youth to explore careers, technology, environment and cultural diversity in a global society. Hands-on and interactive sessions involve youth in exploring issues central to their lives, families and communities – thus broadening their understanding of the world around them.

The conference features tours to Kansas City area businesses and organizations, workshops showcasing a variety of careers, and cultural events.  Dances, group events and other programs provide opportunities for youth to meet youth delegates from Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Location
Kansas City Airport Hilton Hotel
8801 NW 112th Street
Kansas City, Missouri
Telephone: 816-891-8900

Youth Delegate Requirements
Youth must be 15 years of age or older by January 1 to participate and only those attending the conference for the first or second time are eligible to register.

Adult Chaperone Requirements
A ratio of one adult chaperone to ten delegates is required and a chaperone must be listed on all county registration forms.  Adult chaperones are expected to registration on-line at Kansas State University 4-H.

Because of the adult/youth ratio requirements, adults should plan to participate in the program fully.

Registration
The cost is $260 for youth delegates (4 per sleeping room) and
$325 for adults/staff (2 per sleeping room)

The registration fee includes lodging, activities, insurance, tour transportation and most meals (except lunch on Thursday and Friday and dinner Thursday night).

Online registration for youth and chaperones will be between January 1 and February 1 at Kansas State University 4-H.  Each registrant must create an account (email address and password) to proceed.  Select "Missouri 4-H" for the county.

As youth and chaperones register online, the Missouri state 4-H office will confirm registration with county 4-H offices and participants (youth and chaperones) and collect health forms and payment.  County summary forms, payment, health and waiver and release forms are due in the state 4-H office by February 14.  Additional information will be sent to county 4-H youth staff and participants in a later mailing to include a letter to school administrators for excused absence from class, dress code and conference code of conduct.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Because numbers must be guaranteed with the hotel, conference policy allows no refunds after February 1. Delegations may substitute males for males and females for females if they agree to take the same roommates and activity assignments as the original delegate. The deadline for making substitutions is March 1.

Program
Conference registration is between 3:00–4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18; the conference concludes at 8:00 a.m. on March 21.

The conference planning committee is committed to making activities and programs accessible to all participants. If a youth or adult has special requirements due to physical, vision, hearing or other disability, please make sure the need is identified.
