In year 2000, the My Own Business course, presented in classrooms since 1992, went worldwide via the Internet at www.myownbusiness.org. Over time, the Internet course expanded to 14 sessions covering all the essential topics necessary to inform entrepreneurs how to avoid the most common pitfalls.

As the Internet and technology rapidly expanded, the online MOBI Internet course was steadily enhanced with new tools such as video clips, Sound Bytes, and graded quizzes. As other new Web-based resources surfaced, MOBI provided more links to these growing resources. From inception of "going live" in August 2000, our Web site visitor statistics to date are as follows:

• Over 10 million visitors have accessed this Web site.
• 51% of our visitors are men and 49% are women.
• 50.1% plan to operate from a business location and 49.9% from home.
• 55% of our visitors are considering starting a new business.
• 30% are starting a new business.
• 26% are 25 to 35 years old
  30% are 35 to 45 years old
  23% are 45 to 55 years old
• In 2001, The World Bank began Internet delivery of this course across 5 continents.
• 91% of our graduates "would refer our course to a friend."
• Over 313,000 visitors have offered anonymous and voluntary feedback. Over 94% of these visitors say, essentially: "Thank you for providing this valuable information."
