Describes words that sound like their meanings (e.g. buzz, pop).

Description of past events by word of mouth, and more recently through audio and video recordings.

The person created by an author to tell the story. See also: narrator.

Attributing human characteristics to animals, abstract ideas, or inanimate objects.

The sequence of events in a story.

The perspective from which a story is told. See also: voice.
