Inaugural Tickets and Information

(Only Congressional offices can provide these free tickets. Beware of scams in which a website or organization attempts to sell tickets to the oath of office ceremony.)

You can still attend the oath-of-office ceremony even if you did not receive a ticket. Tickets made available through Congressional offices are for a reserved section in front of the Capitol Building. Even without a ticket, anyone can attend and stand on the National Mall, which will be equipped with large video screens and speakers. You can also attend, without a ticket, the inaugural parade, which runs up Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House.

Rep. Holt has also received requests for tickets to inaugural balls. Congressional offices do not receive tickets to any of the balls or galas. The Presidential Committee which coordinates the official Inaugural Ball has not yet been set up. More information regarding these activities will be available when the committee is established. Some independent organizations also will hold events and parties around Washington.

When considering coming to the inauguration, please bear in mind that airlines and Amtrak have reported heavy bookings, as have hotels.
For the latest updates, please refer to the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies and the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
