Frank Williams: 1958-2009
Former big-league pitcher Frank Williams, a Seattle native who had lived as a homeless person in Victoria, recently died of a heart attack. He was 50.
Hank Reverman, 1919-2009: Original owner of Blue Moon Tavern
Hank Reverman, who opened the Blue Moon Tavern, the venerable University District watering hole, and later became a pilot and flight instructor, has died. He was 96.

Paul Rossi, 1928-2009: For sports fans, he was 'in the P-I' for decades
Fittingly, Paul Rossi was watching "SportsCenter" from his hospital bed when he died Sunday in Tucson, Ariz. He was 80. A fixture of the Seattle P-I sports department for nearly a half-century, he wrote about baseball and boxing and never could get his fill of the athletic world.

Robert Prince, a Seattle native and Army Ranger who, as a captain in World War II, led the daring mission to liberate Allied POWs that was portrayed in the 2005 movie, "The Great Raid," passed away New Year's Day in Port Townsend.
