Information about Commercial Shipments of food subject to prior notice requirements with Non-Commercial Shippers

Inadequate Prior Notice:

It appears that the food shipped to you is subject to prior notice requirements and prior notice information has not been submitted as required by § 801(m) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

and

Does not meet Non-commercial criteria:

It appears that the food shipped to you is subject to prior notice requirements and

  • Is not for a non-commercial purpose (not for sale, resale, barter, business use, or to otherwise enter U.S. domestic commerce), or
  • The shipper is not an individual (self, family, or friend)

Future shipments may be refused admission into the United States if adequate prior notice is not submitted.
