Picture of Scott Burns Scott Burns - CEO & Co-Founder
Scott has actively participated in government affairs throughout his life. Prior to co-founding GovDelivery, Inc., Scott was the Director of Marketing at SafeRent, Inc., which was the leading provider of web-based tenant screening services to apartment managers. Before SafeRent, Scott was a consultant at McKinsey and Company where he worked on new product launches and operational effectiveness for several multinational corporations. He is an active member of the Minnesota Citizens League and regularly advises GovDelivery clients on e-government related issues. Scott has received several awards for his business accomplishments and community contributions. In May, he was honored with the 2006 "Forty Under 40" award from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. In the Spring of 2006, he was recognized as an "Emerging Leader" by Twin Cities Business magazine. Scott graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Economics.



Picture of Zach Stabenow Zach Stabenow - Executive Vice President & Co-Founder
Zach leads the e-government consulting group that introduces GovDelivery to public sector organizations that are interested in increasing website usage and improving communication with citizens. Prior to co-founding GovDelivery, Inc., Zach was the Regional Sales Manager for K-Sun Corporation's software division, where he led the sales consulting team in implementing software solutions related to government compliance for Fortune 2000 companies. Zach has also held account management positions at Computer Associates, Sterling Software and Peripheral Technology Group. He has worked with all types of governments and businesses implementing enterprise information portals, business intelligence solutions, and Internet security applications.



Picture of Dave Sommerness Dave Sommerness - Chief Operating Officer
Dave oversees all operations and product development at GovDelivery. Prior to joining the company, Dave spent five years with the H.B. Fuller Company as a Plant Manager, managing one of the company's largest facilities. Before that he served as an Officer in the U.S. Army and is a decorated combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Dave graduated with honors from West Point with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has an MBA with a concentration in Operations Management from the University of Michigan.



Picture of Bobbie Browning Bobbie Browning - VP, Federal Consulting
Bobbie comes to GovDelivery with more than 25 years of federal information technology experience. She has held general management, sales and business development positions with a wide variety of government-focused and commercial companies including Wang Laboratories, UB Networks, PRC, AppNet, Fast Search & Transfer, and most recently Wily Technology, a Division of CA. Clients have attributed the success of mission-critical projects to Bobbie�s ability to deliver solutions in complex application environments.

Bobbie serves on the Board of Directors of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) DC Chapter, is on the Advisory Board of emerging technology firms and is an active member of the IT Industry Executive Committee supporting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the George Washington University.



Picture of Paul Weber Paul Weber - Director of Development
Paul leads GovDelivery's development and quality control teams. These teams are responsible for developing and testing new feature enhancements for the GovDelivery product suite. Paul has over 15 years of software development experience, most recently having been employed with Oracle, Inc. He has also worked with many other software development and consulting companies, including running his own consulting business. Paul brings years of experience and expertise in agile software development techniques and managing large teams charged with delivering quality software in a timely fashion. Paul graduated from Dakota State University with a Bachelors in Information Systems.



Picture of Jennie Olson Jennie Olson - Director of Marketing
Jennie is responsible for overseeing market development strategy and programs targeting federal, state and local government for GovDelivery. Prior to GovDelivery, as Marketing Manager for Smead Software, Jennie managed integrated marketing programs, including lead generation, sales collateral and event marketing, and was instrumental in the re-launching and positioning of the company's primary software product. Jennie also owned and operated her own business for two years in North Dakota. She received her BBA in Management and Information Management from the University of North Dakota.



Picture of Sarah Heikkila Sarah Heikkila - Director of Client Services
Sarah joined the GovDelivery team in 2002 and is currently the Director of Client Services where she oversees the customer service and account management departments. She has more than 8 years of experience in customer support, training and technical documentation. In addition to handling the day-to-day aspects of account management, Sarah also provides ongoing training and consultation to established clients. Some of Sarah's clients include the U.S. Departments of Labor, State, and Transportation as well as FirstGov.gov. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota- Morris.



Picture of Brent Kastner Brent Kastner - Director of Operations
Brent Kastner leads GovDelivery's technical operations team and is responsible for security, availability, and performance of the GovDelivery platform which has been experiencing exponential growth in usage for the past two years. Brent leads a team of dedicated System Administrators and Continuation Enigneers.

Brent has over 10 years of experience in architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise software and hardware infrastructure. Brent has held software development, enterprise and custom software implementation, and network engineering positions during his career.

Prior to GovDelivery, Brent was a Senior Consultant, Architect, and Consulting Manager for Interwoven, Inc., a leading Enterprise Content Management software maker based in Sunnyvale, Ca. Brent also served as an Operations Manager for the Minneapolis based mortgage company, GMAC-RFC, where he and his team supported an application that generated roughly $300,000.00 per hour in mortgage decisions. Brent was also a key player in the creation of Best Buy's e-commerce platform.



Picture of Brett Berntsen Brett Berntsen - Director, Product Management
As GovDelivery's Product Manager, Brett Berntsen applies a market-driven approach to defining, developing, and launching the GovDelivery Digital Subscription Management System. Prior to GovDelivery, Brett was a Product Manager for e-commerce service provider Digital River, after spending the early part of his career at Beckman Coulter, EDS, and other technology companies. Brett earned his undergraduate degree at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.



Picture of Darren Gerke Darren Gerke - Director of Finance
Darren manages GovDelivery's finances and human resources. Prior to joining GovDelivery, Darren spent two years with Go Daddy Software as Controller. Darren's public accounting experience includes three years at Grant Thornton and almost two years with Schweitzer Karon & Bremer. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas.



Picture of Nina Slattery Nina Slattery - Division Manager, GovDocs
Nina Slattery oversees and manages the GovDocs Division of the company, which provides labor law postings and HR compliance materials to business across the country. Prior to joining GovDocs in 2005, Nina worked for several local and national marketing agencies (including J. Walter Thompson) in both client management and operations roles, gaining vast exposure across Fortune 500/1000 companies and a broad range of industries. Nina started her career with 8 years at McCaw Cellular Communications (now AT&T Wireless) where she worked in marketing for the Minneapolis field office and then corporate marketing in the Kirkland, WA headquarters. Nina is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
