The mission of the Logistics Management, Training, and Operations Staff Office is to ensure that Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) medical centers, regional offices, and cemeteries get the supplies and equipment they need—at the right time, at the right place, in the right condition, and at the right price—to serve our Nation’s Veterans. To accomplish this, we provide Department-level policy, guidance, training, and program oversight in support of VA's logistical operations.
In fulfilling our mission, we implement VA’s asset management systems for personal property, including inventory management and control, and monitor the responsible disposition of these assets. We strive to ensure that activities relating to materiel management, personal property management, and environmental compliance are carried out efficiently and cost effectively. |
