CFS manufactures a full line of organic feeds to satisfy the needs of your poultry. They are expertly formulated for each species and their stage of production.Feeds are made with clean heavy grain and rely on a diversified and consistent ingredient list. These complete feeds contain appropriate mineral and vitamin supplements for the species and the type of production. CFS house mineral blend contains essential minerals plus kelp, vitamins and trace mineral salt.
These formulations are based on average farm requirements. Most farms with good management normally obtain very good results with these formulations. Custom mixes may be required to satisfy the particular needs of certain farms and especially to match forages that are above or below average quality. Generally we floor stock 1 ton each of these formulations and are bagged in 50# bags; ideally for the small producer.

Jumbo Broilers: 0 to 4 Weeks - 20% or 22% CFS Chick Starter 5th Week to Finish - 18 % or 20% CFS Grower
To help avoid leg problems and heart attacks, consider mildly restricting feed to your Jumbo Broilers. Start at two weeks, let Broiler run out of feed or remove feeders by 8 p.m. It really works!!
Helpful Management Hints Always know the brooding temperature. A thermometer is your cheapest investment. A temperature of 90 degrees is recommended to start chicks. Reduce temperature 5 degrees a week until 70 degrees room temperature is reached. Chicks should be evenly spread around heat source. Allow at least 1/2 sq. ft. per bird. You can tell when chicks are comfortable by the way they move around eating and drinking. A 250 watt bulb 18-24 inches above floor to start for each 80 chicks and 40 turkeys is recommended. Litter must remain clean and dry. Shavings, peat moss, and rice hulls work best. Avoid newspaper or straw - they cause leg problems. Keep air fresh with no drafts. A Chick Guard 18" high for the first 10 days helps. Allow one gallon of fresh water for each 50 chicks. The feeders and waters should be raised as chicks grow, keeping them level to chickens back.

Nutritional Requirements Feed and water at once on arrival. Start turkeys on a 24 – 28% starter to 8 weeks. 9 through 16 weeks feed a 21 – 22% turkey grower and 17 weeks to slaughter feed a 16 – 17% turkey finisher.
Helpful Management Hints Raise turkeys apart from chicken for disease prevention. Turkeys starting are more sensitive to temperature and drafts, however, most growing recommendations for chicks also apply to turkeys.
