AEC Coordination

A/E CONTRACTING

Architect Engineering Contract hydrographic survey support for the Portland District utilizes a Indefinite Delivery Contract. A one year contract is awarded to the successful Contractor with the option of one year extension without additional solicitation. The work will be confined to major rivers, inland bays and ocean harbors. Any off-shore ocean work is rarely required.

The Government furnishes a Statement of Work and invites the Contractor to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the time and cost to conduct a specified service. The variety of work awarded to the A/E Contract under an individual Task Order has been the yearly Portland to Bonneville longitudinal or cross line condition surveys, cross line condition survey from Bonneville to McNary, geophysical explorations, gas abatement monitoring, reservoir surveys, and multi-beam surveys of dam and rubble mound structures. In conjunction with the hydrographic surveys, topographic surveys defining the near water bank gradient, geodetic control to establish vertical and horizontal control may be requested.
