Watershed Stewards
Habitat Restoration
Watershed Stewards work on habitat restoration projects all over Clark County. Restoration improves stream structure, reduces water temperature, and adds habitat for wildlife and fish, and reduces contaminants reaching our streams. Projects may include planting of native vegetation, removal of non-native vegetation, and adding large woody debris or other in-stream features.
Quality habitat can be found in your own back yard!. Planting native plants, reducing pesticide use, and providing cover attract a wide variety of wildlife to your back yard no matter where you live. For practical tips, go to Salmon Friendly Gardening.
