PRS works together with
CDC’s
Replicating Effective Programs (REP) and
Diffusion of Effective Behavioral
Interventions
(DEBI) projects to translate scientific
evidence into program practice.
PRS conducts systematic
reviews to identify evidence-based
interventions based on rigorous efficacy
criteria. REP works with researchers, in
collaboration with community-based partners,
to translate evidence-based interventions
into everyday language and develop
user-friendly packages of materials.
Once packaged, the DEBI
project coordinates the dissemination of
these packaged interventions. The
Capacity Building Branch (CBB) in the
Division
of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) provides
training and technical assistance on the
DEBI packages through the
National Network of STD/HIV Prevention
Training Centers (PTCs) and offers culturally appropriate capacity building
assistance through other
technical
assistance programs.
