Lakeview Ranger District: Taylor Ranch Fish Screen
The Lakeview Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is proposing to install a standard pre-fabricated, single rotary drum screen system at the diversion point of the Taylor Ranch Ditch. The screen has been designed and engineered by qualified ODF&W personnel. The system will be driven by a paddle wheel to alleviate the need for a power source. The drum screen is 4' X 18" and is designed to screen up to 1.6 cfs. The screen is sized to withstand the maximum amount of water the ditch can hold. The screen will be placed at the point of diversion to maximize the miles of ditch that will benefit from the project. The screen will be removed during winter months when the producer is not irrigating; this will reduce wear and tear on the screen during high flows.
