By Bus, Amtrak and MBTA Commuter Rail

The South Station bus/train terminal is a 10-15 minute walk (about 9 blocks) from the Health Sciences Campus. Walk south on Atlantic Avenue to Kneeland Street, then west on Kneeland Street. The HNRCA is at 711 Washington Street, a the intersection of Kneeland and Washington Streets & across from the Tufts Dental School.

By Subway

Take MBTA Orange Line or Silver Line to the "Tufts-New England Medical Center" station. Exit subway station and turn left onto Washington St. The HNRCA is at the end of the block on the left.

The HNRCA is also accessible from the MBTA Green line via the "Boylston Street" station. Exit the station and continue one block south on Tremont Street, past the Cutler Majestic Theater. At the stoplight, take a left on Stuart Street. Walk one block to Washington Street. The HNRCA is on the right.

By Automobile

From the West and Southwest via the Massachusetts Turnpike (Rte 90 west): take exit 24A, South Station, and stay to the left once you are on the exit ramp. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left toward Chinatown. Proceed through six traffic lights (note that some are not active at certain times of the day) and turn left onto Washington St. at the 7th light. For parking, proceed one more block and turn left at Tremont. The parking garage is one half block up on your left.

From the Southeast via the Southeast Expressway: take exit 20 and immediately get into the left lane. Take the left exit for South Station off the exit ramp and continue to Kneeland Street. Take a left onto Kneeland and continue straight for five blocks. At Washington Street, take a left. The HNRCA is on the corner. For parking, continue on Kneeland for one more block and turn left on Tremont St. The parking garage is one half block up on your left.

From the Northeast via Interstate 95 to Mystic-Tobin Bridge: take the Fitzgerald Expressway (Interstate 93/Route 3). Take Exit 23 (South Station) onto Purchase Street. Continue along Purchase Street, which becomes the Surface Artery. At Kneeland Street, turn right. Continue on Kneeland until Washington Street, then take a left onto Washington. For parking, continue on Kneeland for one more block and turn left on Tremont St. The parking garage is one half block up on your left.

From the North (via Interstate 93): from the Fitzgerald Expressway (Interstate 93/Route 3), take Exit 23 (South Station) onto Purchase Street. Continue along Purchase Street, which becomes the Surface Artery. Make a right turn on Kneeland Street. Continue for five blocks on Kneeland to Washington St., and take a left onto Washington. For parking, continue on Kneeland for one more block and turn left on Tremont St. The parking garage is one half block up on your left.

From the West and Northwest (via Route 2): take Soldiers Field Road to Storrow Drive, exit at Arlington Street. Proceed straight six blocks to Stuart Street. Turn left on Stuart Street (Stuart becomes Kneeland). Follow Stuart/Kneeland to Washington, then take a right on Washington. For parking, follow Stuart/Kneeland only as far as Tremont St. (one block short of Washington St.), and turn right. The parking garage is one half block up on your left.
