Electronic Delivery

Infotrieve makes electronic delivery methods available to individual, corporate, and institutional customers. If a document is available for delivery as a PDF, it will be sent as a URL within an e-mail (see below). When PDF delivery is not available, the document is delivered by the default delivery method (Ariel, postal mail, or fax) selected on the order. If Ariel is the default delivery method, the document is delivered as a Tiff attachment to an e-mail (see below).

URL within an email

The document may be sent as a URL link in an email so you can download the document. Due to publisher and copyright restrictions, some documents are encrypted with limited viewing and printing rights. Encrypted documents require a one-time download of a plug-in to Adobe Acrobat , prior to clicking on the URL. Documents should be printed immediately upon opening, if you wish to have a paper copy.

Ariel (Tiff attachment to an e-mail)

The document may be sent as a Tiff attachment to an email (please note that Ariel software is NOT required to receive individual documents as Tiff attachments).  A Tiff viewer capable of handling multi-page documents is required to read the document.  Most computers have a Tiff viewer pre-installed, but free viewers are readily available on the Internet.

Corporate contract accounts have the option of implementing e100, all-electronic document delivery.  Please contact sales@infotrieve.com for more information.
