General Plans
California State Parks
A general plan is required for units of the California State Park System before permanent facilities can be provided. When completed, the general plan directs the long-range development and management of a park by defining broad policy and program guidance. This guidance is essential to the Department's managers and its staff, and is of value to those organizations and individuals who have an interest in California State Parks.
