Energy for Keeps:
Electricity from Renewable Energy
Teacher Information
On this page you will find free downloadable information,
student activities, and suggestions. The activities,
like the book, are multi-disciplinary. They include earth science,
environmental science, physical science, social studies, math, and
language arts.
At this time you will find one main activity plus extensions and
additional suggestions for each chapter. Check this web page
periodically for additional student activities, especially science
activities related to energy and energy resources (Chapter 3).
Activities are inquiry-based and, together with the book,
are correlated to all applicable content standards for
California public schools, grades 6-8, and to National Science
Standards. (Correlations to content standards for other states
will be on this website in the future, when interest is shown
and information is received.)
All files on this page are PDF files that may be downloaded for free.
New activities will be added as they are developed. Teachers who can
contribute to the development of new activities (or who can steer us to
other excellent existing activities) are invited to contact the Energy
Education Group at energyforkeeps@aol.com.
