Research Interests

Dr. Zajac’s principal research area is gastrointestinal nematodes of ruminants, especially sheep and goats.  She is interested in the development of practical control programs using both anthelmintics and alternative methods of control and has also worked with parasite resistant hair sheep breeds.  Dr. Zajac is the director of the Clinical Parasitology Laboratory at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the VA/MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
