What Does It All Mean?
Making changes in the workplace is not easy. Take time to think
about how you are going to evaluate your changes. Thinking through
your options will provide you with the information necessary for
making better decisions in the long run.
Evaluation can be very complicated or it can be relatively simple.
Although the simplest methods may be seem less "scientific,"
they can still give you good information for making some important
decisions. After a simple evaluation, you can decide to expand the
intervention to other work groups in your company, or consider making
additional changes.
Improving worker safety and health, as well as increasing productivity,
is a continual process of:
Your organization may benefit from evaluations done by others and
vice versa. Share your evaluation results with local and national
trade associations and labor unions. Some international organizations
are developing solutions databases to make such information available
worldwide.
