Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD)

This page explains how to electronically submit environmental sampling data for Superfund sites in Region 3. In an effort to be consistent with similar electronic data projects in Region 3 States and other EPA Regions, Region 3 has selected a data delivery format that is the same as the State of West Virginia. That format is also similar to the one currently being implemented in EPA Region 2 (New York).

Region 3's EDD can be used to submit maps, sampling results, the locations of environmental samples, and other site information. This data can then be loaded into databases at EPA to facilitate data review and evaluation.

In order to submit electronic data for Region 3's Superfund program, please download and examine the “EDD Tables” listed below . These Tables show the format for the EDD and will help you organize your submittal. Region 3 is still developing a users manual, but both West Virginia (http://www.wvdep.org/item.cfm?ssid=280&ss1id=677Click here to read the "Exit EPA Website" Disclaimer) and EPA Region 2 (http://www.epa.gov/region02/superfund/medd.htm) have excellent user manuals available on their web sites.
