Colby-Sawyer College acknowledges the unique talents and interests of our students through our merit awards. The Office of Admission will send merit applications to all eligible students at the point of acceptance.
Deadline: Application must be returned by February 15.

Leadership Award

Past recipients have shown significant leadership through high school organizations, youth groups, and local volunteer involvement.

Community Service Award

Past recipients have donated their time and skills regularly to such organizations as Habitat for Humanity, family shelters, and food drives.

Dean's List for Special Talent

  • Art & Graphic Design- Submission of portfolio (10 piece minimum)

  • Creative Writing- Submission of three to five samples of poetry or fiction

  • Original Scholarly Research- Submission of a paper or PowerPoint presentation demonstrating your original research in any academic field.

These awards range from $2,000-$4,000 and selection will be based on the student's demonstrated skill or involvement in these designated areas. Faculty members are included in the evaluation process for these awards.

Merit awards may supplement the previously listed academic scholarships and are renewable annually for four years of study dependent upon full-time enrollment and the student's good academic standing. Early Decision students are eligible and welcome to apply to these awards.
