Department Releases 2002-07 Strategic Plan

Secretary Paige released the Department's Strategic Plan, 2002-2007, on March 7, 2002.

This section lists strategic plans, annual and semiannual reports, and other administrative reports and plans describing the activities of U.S. Department of Education offices and programs.

The U.S. Department of Education's 2000 Performance Report and 2002 Annual Plans was submitted to Congress in March 2001 in response to the Government Performance and Results Act.

Volume 1 describes FY 2000 department-wide results for the Department's Strategic Plan objectives and includes a section on how the Department will ensure the quality of its performance data.

Volume 2 contains individual program results for FY 2000 and performance plans for FY 2002. The volume also contains a chapter on Management Challenges within the Department.

U.S. Department of Education Strategic Plan

The Department's Strategic Plan for 2001-2005, submitted to Congress in September 2000 in response to the Government Performance and Results Act, is now available. The U.S. Department of Education Strategic Plan, 2001-2005 describes our goals, objectives, and strategies, and it includes performance indicators for measuring progress.

The U.S. Department of Education Strategic Plan, 1998-2002 also is available.
