Dates and Deadlines

NOTE: All application materials must be received by the date listed above. In Fall '08 and Fall '09, we may not guarantee on campus housing (subject to change with availability).

Scholarships offered

There is not a separate application or deadline for these academic scholarships. They are awarded annually and are dependent upon good academic standing. Students will be notified of scholarship decisions at the time of admission to Colby-Sawyer.

Woodman Scholarship

Requirements: A minimum 3.0 GPA
Value: $10,000
Other Notes: This scholarship is specifically named and given to college students wishing to Transfer to Colby-Sawyer College. Renewable annually for four years dependent upon full-time enrollment and good academic standing.

Phi Theta Kappa

Requirements: Membership in Phi Theta Kappa and good academic standing
Value: $1,000
Other Notes: Recipients are also eligible for the aforementioned Woodman Scholarship for a total of $11,000

Application Requirements

1) Application and fee: Click here for the online Common Application or here for a list of other application options. The $45 application fee is waived if you apply online. Remember to check off “transfer” on the application. We do not have a separate application for transfers.
2) Essay/letter of intent: You can choose one of our essay topics or write about a topic of your choice. Some transfer students may find it appropriate to write about their transfer quest.
3) Dean's Recommendation Form: Click here for Dean's Recommendation. This form can also be faxed to us at (603)526-3452.
4) College Transcripts w/ course descriptions: We will need an official college transcript with a seal or signature on it. Course descriptions can include a course syllabi or course catalogue for courses taken.
5) High School Transcripts or GED record: Must be official copies.
6) One other recommendation: This can be from a professor or an employer. If relevant, a high school teacher may also submit a recommendation on a student's behalf.
7) SAT or ACT Scores (optional): You may choose to submit your standardized test sore, but they are not required.

To Accelerate your Credit Transfers (not required)

Colby-Sawyer College can assist you in transferring your credits as quickly as possible. Simply print out this Transcript Request Form and send it to the Registrar of each college or university that you have attended.

Once we receive your transcripts, our Registrar's Office will evaluate them as quickly as possible, and we'll contact you about your credit transfers.
