Acadia National Park

is located on the coast of Maine and encompasses 47,633 acres of granite-domed mountains, woodlands, lakes and ponds, and ocean shoreline. Such diverse types of habitat make Acadia a haven for wildlife and plants.



Alliance of Trail Vehicles of Maine (A.T.V Maine)

is The Association organized to represent and support all Maine ATV clubs. These local clubs are working with landowners and others to encourage safe and responsible use.



Baxter State Park

is a wilderness area of 202,064 acres, was a gift to the State of Maine by former Gov. Percival P. Baxter. In 1930 he made his first land purchase of 5,960 acres which included Katahdin, the highest mountain in Maine.



Land For Maine's Future:

The LFMF program serves the people of Maine by funding the acquisition of lands that the public has identified as important to set aside for present and future generations.



Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission:

The purpose of the Commission is to protect, conserve, restore, manage and enhance Atlantic salmon habitat, populations and sport fisheries within historical habitat in all (inland and tidal) waters of the State of Maine.

Maine Audubon is a community of people who share an appreciation of Maine's wildlife and outdoors, a concern for the stewardship of its natural resources, and a commitment to a clean environment.

The Maine Campground Owners Association invites you to discover Maine's rugged coast, clear lakes and tranquil woods. Their campgrounds and RV parks ofer uniquie opportunities to experience the wonders of Maine.



Maine Coast Heritage Trust

conserves coastal and other lands that define Maine’s distinct landscape, protect its environment, sustain its outdoor traditions and promote the well-being of its people.



Maine Department of Agriculture's

mission is to promote stewardship of Maine's agricultural and natural resources while protecting human health and the environment.



Maine Innkeepers Association

provides a comprehensive list of lodging in Maine, featuring the finest in accommodations including inns, bed & breakfasts, resorts, hotels and motels.



Maine Office of Tourism

The Office of Tourism is responsible for implementing an overall marketing program for the State of Maine, including advertising, public relations, and research and analysis.



Maine Professional Guides Association

is composed of Registered Maine Guides who are striving to enhance the standards of the guiding industry.



Maine Snowmobile Association:

The Maine Snowmobile Association is an organization of 30,000 snowmobilers (and friends) across the state and beyond its borders. Club members work locally, regionally and at the state level to promote snowmobiling as a safe, fun, family oriented winter sport.



Natural Resource Education Center

The Natural Resource Education Center, located in Greenville, the historic gateway to the North Woods, promotes the long-term conservation of the forest and hopes to become the vehicle upon which the public relies to better understand and use the vast natural resources that the North Woods has to offer.



North Maine Woods:

The North Maine Woods organization manages public use and access to 3.5 million acres private and public forest land in northwestern Maine. The southern boundary of North Maine Woods region is roughly Moosehead Lake to Baxter State Park, the eastern boundary is Route 11 from Ashland to Fort Kent and the northern and western boundaries are the Canadian border. Visitors planning to visit the Allagash Wilderness Waterway or the West Branch of the Penobscot River are likely to travel through the North Maine Woods region. Land Use Permits and user fees may apply from May until November.



Small Woodlot Owners of Maine:

Owning and managing small woodland properties in Maine can be a very rewarding endeavor. For two and half decades SWOAM has been helping small woodland owners address these and countless other issues.



Sportsman's Alliance of Maine

is Maine's largest sportsman's organization with a full-time headquarters and staff in Augusta. SAM's staff works at the legislature, state agencies and other forums on critical issues.



Unity College

is a small, private college in rural Maine that provides dedicated, engaged students with a liberal arts education that emphasizes the environment and natural resources. Unity College graduates are prepared to be environmental stewards, effective leaders, and responsible citizens through active learning experiences within a supportive community.
