to Baxter State Park, the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, The
Penobscot River Corridor, Penobscot Narrows Observatory, Maine Wildlife Park, or Scarborough
Beach )
How much does the pass cost?
We offer two types of passes:
List of Parks with fees
- FREE - Senior Citizens (65 years and over). The Bureau of Parks and Lands allows visitors 65 years of age and over free day-use admission with proof of age. Passes will no longer be issued.
We will mail out your pass within 5 business days of receipt of your order, along with your credit card receipt, and an Outdoors in Maine brochure.
You must have your park pass to gain entrance at a Maine State Park or Historic Site.
How can I purchase a Maine State Park Pass?

when you file your State of Maine income tax;

when you first visit a park this summer;

by calling the Bureau of Parks
and Lands' campsite reservation office (207-287-2209),
if you want to use a Visa, Discover, or Mastercard;

by visiting the Augusta Office, Bureau of Parks and
Lands, Department of Conservation, Harlow Building,
18 Elkins Lane (AMHI Campus), Augusta, Maine;

by mailing a check or money order to: Dept. of Conservation,
Attn.: Reservations Office, 22 SHS, Augusta, ME 04333-0022.
