In addition, RTCA assists park units and states with various challenges under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, Federal Power Act and on other river management issues; provides assistance to NPS in further designation of rivers within parks; assists with American Heritage Rivers initiative; leads (with Water Resources Division, Ranger Activities, and Park Planning) in strengthening a Service-wide network of rivers staff; continues to participate in and improve coordination with EPA, USFWS, FEMA, FERC, USFS, BLM, BuRec, NRCS, COE, and other Federal water resources agencies; and through cooperative agreements continues to build a rivers movement and empower partners.
