Princess of Wales Conservatory

At the centre of the Tropical Extravaganza festival is the Princess of Wales Conservatory which will be brimming with thousands of orchids and tropical flowers such as bromeliads and anthuriums.

As well as providing a spectacular visual feast, the exhibition also marks Kew's 250th anniversary, with celebratory ribbons and presents incorporated into displays throughout the conservatory.

You may encounter one of our volunteer guides 'roving' in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, who are on hand to answer any questions.

To discover more, you can also take one of our behind-the-scenes Tropical Nursery Tours, or drop in at one of our Hands-on Sessions to find out more about Kew's scientific and conservation work with orchids and see exhibits from Kew's collection.
