Planning, Analysis, and Evaluation

This Planning, Analysis, and Evaluation (PAE) section of EERE's Web site provides access to analyses of key market and technology issues. The site provides access to the following data resources, allowing searches ranging from quite broad to very specific topics. DOE personnel will need to log in to access internal-use data.

Resources include:

Analysis Database

An Analysis Database - developed by the Planning, Analysis, and Evaluation (PAE) team - provides a starting point for accessing key market, policy, technology, and program analysis and data through an easy-to-navigate system. Key resources are hand-picked for their usefulness and categorized by program/technology and type of resource. This database contains energy data, documents, databases, maps, models, presentation slides, energy conversions, and online resources.

PAE Project Results and News

PAE Project Results and News, featured in the right-hand column, provides the latest headlines within Planning, Analysis, and Evaluation. The PAE Project Results section highlights major products, along with "alerts" that summarize important new studies, data sources, or announcements that have been added to the News or PAE analysis database.

Energy Collaborative Analysis Initiative

The Energy Collaborative Analysis Initiative (ECAI) is a collaborative effort among federal and state officials and research organizations to identify opportunities to enhance collaboration on energy analysis, which would ultimately inform and drive policy making. The Planning, Analysis, and Evaluation (PAE) group, in conjunction with these leading energy analysis organizations, is sponsoring this initiative. Activities related to the collaboration are facilitated and coordinated by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
