Greeters Needed for Spring Rush Posted Monday, December 08, 2008
"Spring Rush," the Museum's busy school group season in April and May, draws students from all over the state. Greeters are needed to provide groups with a brief orientation as they arrive at the Museum. Shifts are just three hours in length. Training will be held in late March. Free parking is provided. Special Events Team Posted Wednesday, November 12, 2008
Volunteers are needed to help with activities at special events at the Museum such as family events, workshops, camp-ins, etc. Duties may include assisting with crafts, hands-on learning stations, directing visitors, assisting performers, and helping Museum staff. Most - but not all - special events are held on the weekend. Training is provided on site before the event. Parking is provided. Effort level: seated or standing, depending on task. Skills: speak clearly, follow procedures, be friendly and flexible. Special event volunteers should enjoy working with visitors of all ages and be 16 or older. Changes Docent Program Posted Monday, December 08, 2008
Are you interested in science and the natural world and enjoy interacting with people? Consider becoming a Changes Docent! Changes Docents share hands-on objects, such as fossils, with visitors and answer questions about the Changes exhibit. The Changes Docent Program is for teens age 14 and older and adults.
