  • FREE Informational Workshops for Area Farmers

    First National Bank Northeast, Central Valley Agriculture Cooperative and the Center for Rural Affairs are cosponsoring a series of workshops designed to improve farmers' financial future - from 6-9 pm Tuesday nights in CVA's East Hub conference room (3 miles north of Oakland, 1007 County Road O and Highway 77).

  • 2009 Governor’s Agri/Eco-Tourism Workshop
    Feb. 3-4, 2009

    The 2009 Governor’s Agri/Eco-Tourism Workshop will be held in North Platte, Nebraska at the Sandhills Convention Center and includes general sessions, break-out sessions, and networking opportunities as well as industry exhibitor booths featuring new products and programs essential to your business. Center for Rural Affairs staff are included on the program and will be in the exhibitor area.

  • MarketPlace: Opening Doors to Success 2009

    The Third Annual MarketPlace conference will be held at the Sandhills Convention Center in North Platte, Nebraska. This event, presented by the Center for Rural Affairs and our partners, is focused on strengthening small businesses and rural communities.

  • Food Entrepreneur Assistance Program
    1/9, 3/9, 5/15, 5/16 (in Spanish), 8/15, and 10/3

    The Food Processing Center at the University of Nebraska welcomes entrepreneurs from throughout the U.S. to any of their From Recipe to Reality seminars, a one-day seminar that provides entrepreneurs with an understanding of the key factors that need to be considered when starting a food manufacturing business. Materials are now available in Spanish.
