Biopesticides

Biopesticides use naturally occurring organisms, such as fungi, bacteria, viruses and nematodes to control plant diseases and arthropod pests.

CABI’s Biopesticides team focuses on fungi and nematodes to control insect and mite pests of plants and animals.  We have expertise in researching, developing and scaling up biopesticides to control agricultural and environmental pests on a large scale, in an environmentally benign manner.

Many of our projects deal with the necessary fundamental research to identify useful isolates and their practical use, while others have followed right through to mass production and commercial field use.
We have a multi-disciplinary team of scientists with experience in all aspects of the development and commercialisation of biopesticide products.
