The national Action for Healthy Kids office
is currently seeking a Director of Development and a Director of
Communications. We are looking for the best candidate and will therefore
consider individuals outside of the Chicago area who will work remote.
Organization Overview
Action for Healthy Kids is a national
grassroots organization specifically addressing the epidemic of
overweight, undernourished and sedentary youth by focusing on changes
at school. Action for Healthy Kids is a public-private partnership
of more than 60 national organizations and government agencies representing
education, health, fitness and nutrition, which support the efforts
of the 51 Action for Healthy Kids Teams (in all states and the District
of Columbia) made up of more than 9,000 volunteers.
Director of Development
Action for Healthy Kids seeks a dynamic and experienced
Director of Development. The position, reporting to the Executive
Director, is responsible for coordinating and implementing a broad-based,
multi-constituency development program including Individual giving,
planned and major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, public
funding, and earned revenue generation.

Director of Communications
Action for Healthy Kids seeks a dynamic and
experienced Director of Communications to lead and manage the overall
communications functions for AFHK and, as a member of the leadership
team, develop and implement strategic and operational plans for
communications, public relations, wellness policy and outreach that
promote AFHKs leadership position within the nutrition, physical
activity and school wellness environments.

for management positions.
The farm operates year-round marketing through a
farmers market and restaurants in Atlanta, and a subscription
box program. Currently, there are 5 acres in production, including
10 unheated hoophouses and 2 heated greenhouses. Experience and
commitment to high-quality organic diversified production, including
experience in greenhouse or high tunnel production, is essential
with a minimum of 3 years of production experience. Excellent benefits
