VIII. COMPARISONS WITH PREVIOUS YEAR(S) (Optional)

E. Describe Agency Efforts To:
1. Improve timeliness: The Office of Civil Rights has created content for its new FOIA/PA website to be presented December 2005. The site will provide public information, reports and frequently requested records.
2. Reduce backlog: The Office of Civil Rights FOIA Specialist has increased contact with requesters to clarify or narrow request. The FOIA Specialist has also established an electronic systems that allows for better tracking and reporting.
3. Provide training: Meet quarterly with other Department FOIA personnel to share information regarding processing FOIA requests within the Department.
4. Add new categories of records
